We are, of course, very much looking forward to this week’s special event announcing the iPhone SDK—so much so that are mouths are constantly a water (and man, is that ever unhygienic). As we attempt to keep our keyboards drool-free, we’ve put together a list, over at Macworld, of the top twenty-five apps that we are hoping to see emerge from the darkness when the first apps get developed.
Let us note, though, that the article above is intended to be a list of apps that third parties might reasonably develop, rather than shortcomings in the iPhone’s OS that we think need to be addressed by Apple (copy and paste, for example, or integrated search). We’re also talking software here, so GPS is out, unless you can figure out how to make it work entirely in software (and if you can, give me a ring and we’ll go fifty-fifty).
What apps are you looking most looking forward to? You know where to let us know.

Games, games, and more games (ones that don't require an internet connection (i.e., when I'm on an airplane).
GDOG hit my first tier essential list perfect. Of course most of that is probably Apple System items, but still essential.
I would like to see 3rd party apps:
- Voice Dialing (had a great 3rd party app in my Treo)
- YoJimbo app (to sync with YoJimbo on my Mac)
- Expense reporting
- Bluetooth mini-kybd

GPS is not out. Adding GPS support in software is possible. Just add support for Bluetooth GPS devices like the Garmin GPS10 or GPS10x.
Also:
Tethering (preferably via bluetooth or wifi) to allow you to use the EDGE data connection with your laptop.
Location finder over http (so you can see where the iPhone is if stolen).
Syncing with iTunes on your computer over bluetooth or wifi.
I agree with the suggestions of voice dialing and bluetooth keyboard support.
