MW08: Google updates iPhone interface
And the Macworld news onslaught is underway. Already this morning, we’ve gotten an announcement from Google about the new, gussied-up version of their iPhone interface. We covered the first iteration when they rolled it out back in December, but they’ve made some tweaks.
The toolbar is, now, for example, blue—try and contain your excitement until the end. But wait, that’s just the beginning. You can now customize which items appear in the tabs above: the default items remain Gmail, Calendar, and Reader, but you can also have Docs, Photos, News, and Notebook (up to three total). Calendar and Gmail both get a speed boost, and the customized gadgets on iGoogle (Google’s personalized homepage) now work on the iPhone.
As before, you can access all these features by simply navigating to Google.com on your iPhone. If you’re a citizen of the United States of Google and owner of an iPhone, we presume these changes will be appealing to you. Me, I’m mainly a Google search guy, so it doesn’t affect me that much, but I certainly won’t turn down more sites that work well on my iPhone.

Yea, they changed the interface and broke it. I can't slide the list of tags when viewing them. I used to be able to do so. I hope they fix this soon. It really puts a crimp in the way I view my subscribed feeds.

Blah.
You would think that by now they would have made the keyboard work for Google docs. That would be good. Shame on google. This is just cosmetic.
