Mark/Space syncs time and energy into iPhone
Seems a little odd that a third-party developer would choose to roll out an application for syncing your Mac with your iPhone—after all, wasn’t that the whole point of the iPhone in the first place? Still, that hasn’t apparently deterred Mark/Space, makers of popular phone-syncing application The Missing Sync, who’ve now rolled out an iPhone flavor of their software for $40.
What do you get for those two Andrew Jacksons that you don’t get when you’re just using iTunes? Well, The Missing Sync will also let you archive a bunch of your data, including SMS messages, your call log, and your iPhone’s Notes. And if you’ve got a brand new iPhone, you can use The Missing Sync to import your data from your previous phone (depending on the model).
I’m not sure that I’m prepared to shell out $40 for those additional features, some of which you can pick up with other apps like Ecamm’s $10 iPhoneDrive and the free Syphone, but if this makes your life easier, then by all means go ahead.
