Tomorrow may see release of 1.1.2

1.1.2A little over twenty-four hours for now, the floodgates will open and the crowd of customers waiting for the arrival of the iPhone in the UK and Germany will finally have their one true desire. As we reported earlier in the week, it seems that the European iPhones will feature a new version of the iPhone’s software, 1.1.2.

According to the folks at one UK tech publication—who claim access directly to the horse’s mouth—the new version won’t be restricted to just continental iPhoners: rather, Apple will roll out 1.1.2 to the whole world tomorrow. We still don’t know exactly what 1.1.2 will bring with it, other than presumably a patch for the TIFF exploit, but rest assured that as soon as it hits the tubes, we’ll be all over it like, er, bloggers on a software update.

Hopefully it fixes the widely reported, yet unconfirmed battery issues that 1.1.1 introduced.

I just restored my iPhone tonight, and got 1.1.2. I don't know what is new. I'll post anything I find here.

On absolutely unrelated note, I was watching Bionic Woman (TV Show) tonight. In this episode ("The List"), villain took the iPhone away from the CIA agent and he was holding the phone upside down. It was showing the phone through several cuts of the scene. It completely ruined the whole flow of the show. But Bionic Woman is so cute ;)

I've been pressing "Check for Update" in iTunes, and it's still v.1.1.1. Maybe, the new version will be ready in iTunes in about a few more hours?
