Can I get a “1”? And, er, how about another “1.” Okay, one more!

iPhone 1.1.1In case the noise over the iPhone 1.1.1 software update bricking unlocked iPhones and disabling third-party apps drowned out news of the new features itself, worry not: we’re there for you. Over at the mothership we’ve put together a pretty darn comprehensive list of all the features you’ll find in 1.1.1, ranging from the obvious, like the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, to the not-so-obvious, such as the ability to specify ports in your Mail configuration (easy now, wipe up that drool).

There’s certainly plenty of room for Apple to keep improving the iPhone’s software, and keep in mind we’re just at 1.1.1. I’ve got my fingers crossed for a 1.2-level upgrade around Macworld Expo with more features. Who’s with me?

Actually, Dan, I'm hoping for a 1.2 (or a 1.1.2) day after tomorrow (that is, with the release of Leopard), to add Notes and ToDos to the iPhone. I mean, Palm was a success due to their first four functions: Memos, ToDos, Calendar, and Address Book (synched to your computer). How could Apple miss two of the four off the bat?

Guys,

For when a new SMS software that can do all the basic functions like SMS Forwarding or even a simple caracters count down?

Any clues?
