iPod touch gets lock-screen playback features
I was just watching the Guided Tour on Apple’s site for the new iPod Touch and noticed a nifty new feature that I’m hoping gets rolled out to the iPhone. At one point, the narrator notes that if you want to wake the iPod touch from sleep, you press the home button once. But, if you press the home button twice, it’ll also display volume, play/pause, and forward/back controls, without having to unlock the iPod. This may not be adding hardware playback buttons, like some of my colleagues would like, but it’s a nice, ahem, touch.

The iPod Touch supports the radio remote.
Just plug that in and keep the shiney new iPod in your pocket.
