Hackers unlock iPhone for no money down, ten payments of nothin’
Keen to unlock your iPhone, but don’t relish the idea of spending another hundred smackaroos on top of the cash you’ve already dropped? Patience, as they say, is a virtue and if you’ve been waiting, this may be your lucky day. The folks at iPhone Dev, who brought us the likes of jailbreak have struck again, this time with iUnlock, the first totally free solution for unlocking the iPhone.
While it may not be as pretty as iPhoneSIMFree’s offering, reports indicate that it seems to work just as well. Rough edges are still being worked out, as it apparently takes some amount of time for the unlock to actually process. Engadget’s got instructions on how to do the unlock, which at the moment requires jailbreak to get the unlock app onto the phone. A GUI version of iUnlock is under way, but it’s not quite ready yet, so if you can afford to wait a few days, the process will only get smoother.
And of course, there’s no telling what Apple may do in subsequent software updates, so this could all be rendered moot.

Ok I admit I might be a bit dim about this but here is what I want to do:
Purchase an iPhone
Use the unlocking software to unlock my iPhone
I am a Tmoble customer, I want to just take my sim card and pop it into my iPhone.
I have watched some videos on this and I have a stupid question, after I purchase my iPhone I relize I have to activate the iPhone first then use the unlocking sofware, then I can use my tmobile sim card. How do I activate it without having to signup with at&t?
can you help?
Thanks,
Joe
