Pogue, you’ve done it again!
David Pogue, the man, the myth, the legend.
First he blows the roof off by being one of the first people to review the iPhone. Then he follows it up with two hilarious videos, one spoofing the pre-launch iPhone secrecy, the next a “My Way” musical parody. (If we know anything about David, a longtime Macworld contributor, it’s that he loves musical parodies.)
Now he’s made us all eat his dust by releasing iPhone: The Missing Manual, a 300-page book about the iPhone, in record time. I haven’t read it yet, so I can’t comment on its contents other than to say that Pogue is a really good writer and he seems to have this Missing Manual thing down.
That said, I would be remiss in self-promotion opportunities if I didn’t mention that Macworld’s iPhone Superguide, by the gang of people you see on this very site, is forthcoming later this month in both PDF and printed forms. And our own Christopher Breen is also working on his own iPhone book, The iPhone Pocket Guide, for Peachpit Press.

i bought a copy on line - the pdf version for $5 and it was helpful. he's a good writer and makes reading a manual fun. i suggest saving paper and buying the pdf version though because its better for the enviornment.
