Turn (or squish) some heads with Smooshtacts

Photojojoiphone Sure, you have an iPhone, so you’re already pretty popular with just about anyone who sees what you pull out of your pocket. But, if you want to impress people even more with just how cool your little all-in-one device is, make a smooshcontact.

A smooshcontact is essentially a contact photo of a friend who is being pushed against some glass surface, such as a window or scanner. The result is your friend seeming to be trapped inside your iPhone whenever he or she calls. Smooshcontacts look cool and give you a little laugh every time one of your buds call, and is a nice little trick you can do with your shiny new iPhone.

I must be missing a setting or something...how do you make the whole screen reflect the contact photo like that? All i get is the thumbnail up by the name.

that is the way the phone looks when that contact is calling you. You will always get the thumbnail when viewing the specific contact information.

You get a full screen image in the caller id by assigning the photo to your contact through the photo program on the iphone (as opposed to using your address book on your mac or your contacts list on your iphone).

Dave-

You can import pictures saved in your address book(on your computer) and they show up as a thumbnail when someone calls.

If you use an image synced from iPhoto(or whatever PC app) or one taken with the iPhone camera, they show up full screen.

That's just the screen you see when someone calls you. Just take their pic, save it to their contact entry, and ask them to ring you up.

I'm glad someone finally pointed out how to show the whole whole image. I've been reading a lot of tips and sites and this is the first I've seen on this. I thought it was a setting I was missing. Thanks
