The iPhone and iPod accessories
Many reader questions we receive relate to the iPhone’s accessory compatibility. Given that the iPhone includes the same 30-pin dock-connector port found on current (non-shuffle) iPods, you would think (or at least hope) that the iPod gear you’ve purchased over the years will also work with your shiny new phone.
Over on Macworld proper, I’ve written up my experiences testing the iPhone with scads of such products. There’s good news and bad news.

I have used my iPhone in my VW Touareg with the optional iPod connection that replaces the 6-disc CD changer and it works great. I get the same "Airplane Mode" message, but I don't use my phone in my car, anyway.

My PocketDock FW works fine (for power, natch, not data).

OK, this is not so much a comment, but rather a question.
How are you going about getting screenshots from your iPhone? I am writing a web application and I need to get various screenshots for our web based tutorial and documentation.

Mike: Good ol' camera. Macro mode with the flash off seems to work the best.

Dan: Well, who would have thought I was doing it "the same way". Didnt have "Macro Mode" set, but I was thinking the only way to get a screenshot was to use my Digital Camera :-)
