Macworld has just published a Secrets article about Automator.us’ iPhone Mail Rules v1.0, a collection of AppleScript-based Mail rules that let you do things like automatically transfer a picture on your iPhone to an iWeb blog page, mail pictures to your Mac and have them placed in iPhoto, send a message to your Mac asking for a list of the contents of a particular folder on your computer, and send a request for Mail to email you a copy of one of the files on your Mac.
I had a chance to test drive them and they’re very cool. Check ‘em out.
Forgive me for getting all "Homeland Security" on you, but is it just me or does everyone else think that the Apple-Script Automator robot always looks like he is carrying a pipebomb? Yikes! ;0)

Erm... that would just be you. And congrats, now you're on the list.
Chris:
Excellent! I've been looking forward to some good practical applications to integrate my iPhone into my iMac remotely. By any chance did you try pulling a mp3 from iTunes or a photo out of iPhoto? I would suspect you could if you knew exactly what you wanted and where it was located. Can you play a mp3 from
within a email?
Cheers!

Killjoy, I hate to kill your joy, but sending an MP3 or AAC file to the iPhone does nothing except give you a copy of the thing. You can't play it from within Mail and there's no way to move the file into the iPod area.
Pictures, though, are just fine as they will appear in email.
I have not been able to get any of these to work. The app does the correct installation of the rules in Mail, but sending an email with the commands has yet to produce any result. Do you have any trouble shooting tips for this?
Thanks -
