Of the four people I know personally who waiting in line for an iPhone right now, at least three are fellow jackals in the media. Brian Lam of Gizmodo and Daniel Dumas of Wired are currently holding down the tenth and eleventh spots in line at San Francisco’s downtown Apple Store, while a reporter and blogger who wishes to remain
nameless is lined up in Palo Alto.
Also in Palo Alto, former Microsoft blogger and author Robert Scoble is holding down the top spot in line, while broadcasting live from the sidewalk. The Diggnation crew, Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht, filmed their show live from the Palo Alto store yesterday.
So it’s becoming increasingly apparent that the reason you may not be able to score an iPhone today is because every reporter in California is camped out ahead of you.
